First of all I would like to address the fact that the word "random" is being used completely out of context. It's overused and incorrect.

RAN-DOM
–adjective
1.
proceeding, made, or occurring without definite aim, reason, or pattern: the random selection of numbers.
2.
Statistics . of or characterizing a process of selection in which each item of a set has an equal probability of being chosen.

Examples :
"Sorry I'm feeling kind of random today." WRONG
"Sorry I'm feeling kind of distracted today." RIGHT
"OMG! how strange to see you here, how random!" WRONG
"OMG! What a coincidence seeing you today!" RIGHT
"Wait, Sedgwick is restarting now? How random!" WRONG
"Wait, Sedgwick is restarting now? How unexpected." RIGHT
"Debby is so RANDOM." WRONG
"Debby is so unpredictable." RIGHT
"Sometimes I get these random urges to dance." WRONG
"Sometimes I get these impulsive urges to dance." RIGHT
"I randomly visit my friends." WRONG
